In February 2011 Sue Kolljeski moved from New Brighton, Pa., to her new home in Lawra, Ghana. Sue, a missionary with The Mission Society, has a burden for AIDS orphans in the Upper West Region of Ghana and was invited by the presiding bishop of Methodist Church Ghana to move there to work in the orphanage. She will be working alongside the Ghanaian orphanage director, forming relationships, caring for children, teaching English and taking advantage of every opportunity that the Lord presents to her to help this orphanage become a haven for children without financial worries.
Sue is a member of Concord United Methodist Church in Beaver Falls, Pa. Her first overseas mission trip was to Russia in August 1996 with her church. During that trip, the Lord laid a burden on her heart for “the least, the last and the lost of the world.”
Previously, Sue served on The Mission Society's Global Resource Team as a specialist in child advocacy and children-at-risk issues. She traveled to Russia, Kazakhstan, the jungle and mountain villages of Peru, and to Ghana to work with children and youth and to train adults.
