The Global Resource Team (GRT) is a group of people who serve as missionaries in a unique way. GRT members usually live within the United States. Their mandate is to help missionaries and nationals by empowering them by fulfilling their felt needs.
Many times missionaries do not have the time or the skills to be all things to all people. So, they call upon the GRT. Do you need a water well dug? Call the GRT. Do you need ministry to women? GRT can help. How about a blacksmith? The GRT has one! The GRT is powered by the needs of others.
Sue’s ministry as a part of the Global Resource Team has been with Children at Risk. She has been working directly with the children or with adults who work with children, forming relationships, being an “extra hand,” training nationals, sharing her faith and encouraging the many nationals who often get discouraged. This work has taken Sue to the Andes mountains, the steppes in Central Asia, the frigid winters in Russia, the low jungle of the Amazon and to the tropical area of Ghana. Sue has gone where she was called and continues to do so.
